to Pluto

Arrived at Orlando on Thursday at 2:15pm and the most amazing thing happened while the plane was reaching the destination at 2:02pm. Space shuttle to Pluto was launched around 2pm and a little after 2pm, the pilot told us to look outside of the window. Everyone was speechless, when we saw this BRIGHT light, in a measurable distance, was breaking thru the clouds and it just kept on going higher and higher. It was magnificent life-time view!!!!
A great pilot, btw. He was the best tour guy in air!

It's actually a small satellite (New Horizons) ontop of a Atlas V rocket and not a shuttle at all :) They where at Goddard doing tests before they went to Kennedy Space Center. It's only going to be at pluto for a very short time, taking pictures, before it will go into the Kuiper belt for the rest of it's mission.
thats cool that you got see that. hope you had fun in FL, I wish I was going there soon, too much cold and nasty weather up here.
y u gotta to burst my bubble like that, mark? JK... Thanks for correcting me. It's always good to have someone who knows what they are talking about... have fun in NASA.
